Who is this event for
For SENCOs new to the role, and will also be a useful refresher for more experienced SENCOs regarding Camden’s procedures and best practice. This session if for all SENCOs in early years settings.

What does this event cover
In this course you will learn about the SEN Code of Practice and the statutory duties regarding children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The day also shows you formats and systems to support you in your role. It is an essential course for SENCOs new to the role in Camden.

The focus of the course will be on:
  • Defining a special educational need.
  • The Code of Practice procedures.
  • The role of the SENCO.
  • Setting and reviewing targets.
  • Working with parents.
