Who is this event for
This is a half-day IIT training for a staff member at your setting. The attendee must be involved in setting up and maintaining routines and transition objects for a referred child and the training will support your setting to implement IIT recommendations.

It is expected that the attending staff member at your setting will be involved in:

- Setting up and maintaining routines for a child with autism or social communication needs.
- Setting up and maintaining the use of transition objects.
- Direct work with a child referred to IIT Priority will be given to staff who will continue to be working with a referred child in the spring term.

Please note that places are limited and it is advisable to apply as soon as possible.
What does this event cover
Attendees will understand:

- The importance of routines for a child with autism or social communication needs.
- How to develop meaningful routines in nursery.
- The importance of visual support.
- What transition objects are and how to use them.
- Tips on what to avoid.
- Tips on how to be successful.
