High quality Early Years provision makes a difference to children’s life chances and the higher the quality of this provision, the longer its impact can be seen. Staff qualifications and training are one of the main the key drivers of this quality.
All staff working in the EYFS need to have an understanding of the statutory framework, the themes, principles and pedagogy that underpin high quality provision This training will provide a comprehensive introduction for any member of staff moving from KS1/KS2 into the EYFS or those starting work in this important phase.Participants will:
- Develop confidence in their understanding of underpinning principles of the EYFS pedagogy
- Observe and reflect on practice and provision through first hand experience
- Understand how the EYFS principles link to high quality provision and practice in the classroom
- Be more confident in EYFS planning, record keeping and assessment practices
