Who is this event for Early Years Pratitioners (Voluntary/Private/Independent & Childminding Settings)
Practitioners that would like to learn a series of ‘go to’ forest school activities that are easy to plan and resource.
What does this event cover What will I study?
The course is run over 2 days with the mornings spent in the classroom and the afternoons outside doing practical activities.
You will learn activities that can be adapted and used for any child or group that do not require extensive tool use. Activities will be easy to plan and won’t require vast amounts of resources. The types of activities will include dens, whittling and water fun. You will also learn how positive outcomes for the children can be achieved whilst giving you the confidence to know how to deliver forest school that meets educational requirements. You will gain an understanding of health and safety and how to plan the activities within the constraints of your setting.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed over the 2 days through your knowledge, understanding and through completion of a diary and participation in outdoor activities. Upon successful completion you will receive a Forest School Skills Certificate (no tools). There is no further coursework to complete.
There are 2 sessions between Tuesday 2 April 2019 and Wednesday 3 April 2019
