Primary Literacy Leaders.
What does this event cover
These conferences will provide a forum for Literacy leaders to meet each other and exchange ideas and information between Camden schools. These termly sessions will support leaders to bemore effective in their role and keep up to date with latest developments/initiatives.

Termly meetings will:

  • Support Literacy Leaders to be highly effective in their role
  • Keep Literacy leaders up to date with the latest national and local developments in English
  • Provide an opportunity to reflect on and evaluate provision and practice and to identify improvements and developments needed to raise standards.
  • Provide an opportunity for school to school sharing of best practice
  • Prepare for OFSTED by sharing experiences
  • Opportunities to discuss pedagogies and approaches to teaching.
  • Subject knowledge development

For all practitioners working in Settings and Childminders working with children aged 0 - 5, and Committee Members responsible for the EYFS.
What does this event cover
The session will focus on:

- The importance of safeguarding and protecting children.
- Legislation and the requirements of the EYFS.
- Understanding the signs and symptoms of abuse.
- What to do if you are concerned about a child.
- Record keeping and sharing information.
- Safer working practice.

All governors, with an emphasis for those with SEND responsibilities.
What does this event cover
This session explains Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), offers an update on key areas of focus in SEND and will give guidance on the role of the Governing Body and the SEND governor. It is led by Camden Learning’s SEND lead, Helen McNulty.
