It is expected that the attending staff member at your setting will be involved in:

- Setting up and maintaining routines for a child.
- Setting up and maintaining the use of transition objects.
What does this event cover
This half-day workshop is designed to give you practical strategies to support children, particularly those with Autism or social communication needs, in your setting who find transition times challenging.

Attendees will understand:

- The importance of routines for a child with autism or social communication needs.
- How to develop meaningful routines in nursery.
- The importance of visual support.
- What transition objects are and how to use them.
- Tips on what to avoid.
- Tips on how to be successful.
