Planning in the Moment

Starts: Thursday 23 May 2019 - 09:00 - 13:00
Venue : Crowndale Centre, 218 Eversholt Street, London, NW1 1BD map
Who is this event for
This training is relevant to all practitioners working in the EYFS with children aged 0 - 5.
What does this event cover
Ofsted have a clear focus on the quality of teaching and learning and inspectors make judgements on: “the quality and timeliness of adults’ interventions and how well any learning that children demonstrate is built on by the adults working with them”. This training offers the opportunity to take a close look at the observation, assessment and planning cycle and how effective early years teachers plan ‘in the moment’.

“This is where the real potential for supporting children’s learning lies, since it allows adults accurately and immediately to meet and support a child according to individual needs and circumstances.”

- We will look at how daily interactions between the adult and child support learning and development.

- We will look at how to evaluate observations using the characteristics of effective learning.

- We will look at how the learning environment supports quality interactions.
