Child Protection Online (3 hours) (EVENT FULL)

Record keeping and sharing information

Please note

The link to access the training will be circulated the day before the session is schedule to take place

Before the training, we recommend the delegates to:

  • To have the correct software on your device to join the virtual session.
  • To join in the virtual session earlier than advertised to allow for any IT issues.
  • Ensure you are in a room away from distractions or interruptions.
  • Ensure no under 18’s are present as we may present or show graphic content due to the nature of the training.
  • Have any present training materials on hand if requested

What does this event cover
We look forward to welcoming you to the first Mental Health Leads Network meeting. We hope the Network will become a regular support for you. The Network meeting is an opportunity for you to meet other Mental Health Leads, share what you are doing, discuss challenges and develop good ideas and strategies to help you in your role. The first meeting will focus on the role of the mental health lead and we will also hear from a Mental Health expert around a key issue affecting children and young people today.

Who is this event for
SENDCOs in Primary Schools.
What does this event cover
These meetings will support SENDCOs, Inclusion managers and deputy SENDCOs in their role.

We will draw on the expertise and skills in Camden schools (emphasising peer support) as well as on specialist services and teams.

We will cover issues such as improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, self-evaluation of SEND provision in schools, statutory requirements e.g. EHC Assessment and Plan, Annual Reviews, SEN funding, identification and assessment, planning, support from specialist services, Independent Support (SENDIASS), Interventions ' e.g. literacy, self-evaluation and improvement planning etc.

We will also be responsive to specific requests from SENDCOs.

Recent Trends in Radicalisation

  • To discuss how recent events may have impacted on a young person’s vulnerability to radicalisation.
  • To know more about the current extremist narratives to which young people may have access.
  • To understand how extremist and terrorist groups may be exploiting current issues to recruit.
What does this event cover
We live in a time of change. Extremist and Terrorist organisations are changing too. We can support our young people better if we give time to developing a bit of knowledge and identifying our current skills which can build resilience to all kinds of threat.
