What does this event cover
Middle leaders are essential to the success of any school. What they do varies across settings but in all schools, they play a vital role in enacting the organisation’s values, modelling expectations and driving improvement.

With a renewed focus on the quality of your school curriculum Ofsted judgements will be informed through the evidence available in your school and sourced from staff, pupils and subject/middle leaders. The virtual INSET is aimed at working with middle leaders to help them feel prepared and ready to particulate the school’s Curriculum approach by discussing the intent, explaining how it is implemented and the impact of your actions to date, with clarity and confidence.

INSET Aims:
  • To clarify the Ofsted expectations
  • Explore the progress within subjects and how this is developed and monitored in school
  • Explore how pupil progress and attainment is assessed in your school
  • To be prepared for a ‘deep dive’ line of enquiry
  • Plan necessary actions that will enable self-evaluation

SENDCOs in Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges.
What does this event cover
These meetings will support SENDCOs, Inclusion managers and deputy SENDCOs in their role.

We will draw on the expertise and skills in Camden schools (emphasising peer support) as well as on specialist services and teams.

We will cover issues such as improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, self-evaluation of SEND provision in schools, statutory requirements e.g. EHC Assessment and Plan, Annual Reviews, SEN funding, identification and assessment, planning, support from specialist services, Independent Support (SENDIASS), Interventions ' e.g. literacy, self-evaluation and improvement planning etc.

We will also be responsive to specific requests from SENDCOs.

A session that focuses on stress management and coping strategies for staff. This is a safe and confidential space where staff are able to reflect on current and past challenges and receive practical guidance and support around their wellbeing. Staff only need to share what they are comfortable with. Please join the session from a private and uninterrupted space.
