Who is this event for
Teachers in secondary schools that teach the cooking and nutrition curriculum.
What does this event cover
“To support schools around teaching cooking, Cooking and Nutrition curriculum leads are invited to attend a free, 2 hour virtual “cook-along” session, led by Waitrose Cookery School chefs. This will be held via Zoom.
Each session will take staff through cooking a healthy recipe, with tips on teaching and enthusing students about cooking and food. The session is free to participate in, though schools will need to source their own ingredients for the session and a room with access to a hob. A list of (low-cost) ingredients and equipment needed will be provided.
Please note, places are limited to 16 staff per session. Booking will be first come, first serve and 2 members of staff per secondary school can attend.”

What does this event cover
For many people challenging or difficult conversations are a bit like the common cold: we all get them, they can be a real nuisance, but there seems to be no cure.
Unlike the common cold, these conversations should not be avoided. The ability to be able to talk about very sensitive and emotive issues is an integral part of early years practice and can be critical to maintaining good parent partnership working and to improving relationships.

• Understand the aims of Prevent and what it means to you. • Think about who may be vulnerable to radicalisation and extremism. • Recognise what signs you may see when a vulnerable person may be in need of help. • What help and support is available.

Who is this event for
SENDCOs in Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges.
What does this event cover
These meetings will support SENDCOs, Inclusion managers and deputy SENDCOs in their role.
We will draw on the expertise and skills in Camden schools (emphasising peer support) as well as on specialist services and teams.
We will cover issues such as improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, self-evaluation of SEND provision in schools, statutory requirements e.g. EHC Assessment and Plan, Annual Reviews, SEN funding, identification and assessment, planning, support from specialist services, Independent Support (SENDIASS), Interventions ' e.g. literacy, self-evaluation and improvement planning etc.
We will also be responsive to specific requests from SENDCOs.
