This event is open to all primary school staff, such as School Business Staff, Bursar, Admin etc.
What does this event cover
This course will cover:
The importance of business planning to support your ability to react positively to changes in Government policy (such as the 30 hour offer).
A simple business planning model to help you to think about the practical implications of offering the 30 hours provision.
How to undertake financial forecasting and modelling so that you are better able to understand the financial implications of offering the 30 hours provision.
Steps to improve financial management and sustainability.
Creating a marketing plan for the 30 hours offer:
Understanding your customers' needs and wants.
Describing your differentiators in an increasingly competitive market.
Cost effective marketing methods including social media.
You will come away from this workshop with "the bones" of a business plan which you can take away and finalise. Participants are encouraged to bring with them any draft planning or modelling that they have already done and this can be reviewed on the day.
Each participant will also receive a copy of "Building Your Early Years Business" by Jacqui Burke.
