Who is this event for
Essential for all designated Safeguarding Leads and recommended for all school staff. This workshop will give participants accredited training from the national agency (CEOP).
What does this event cover
To help you gain the skills to act appropriately and confidently to protect the children and young people you work with. It will develop your knowledge on how children and young people use the internet, and how to help keep them safe from abuse.

What does this event cover
This is our termly surgery where you can come along and discuss practice issues on a one to one basis with an early years adviser.

The surgery is open to all staff from PVI settings, Childminders  and Committee Members from Early Years Settings - there is no need to book a place, simply turn up.

The roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider; assessing an emergency situation; dealing with an unresponsive infant or child; recovery position; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs); chocking; head and spinal injuries; fractures; anaphylaxis and allergic reactions; meningitis; asthma; febrile convulsions; seizures; diabetic emergencies; poisoning; burns and scalds; electric shock; external bleeding; hypovolemic shock; eye, ear and nose conditions; bites and stings; minor injuries; treatment for hot and cold body temperatures.
