What does this event cover
This is a whole days training session to support teachers with the end of year assessment judgements in reading, writing and maths linked to the national standards.

There will be an opportunity for teachers to work together moderating their children’s reading writing and maths as well as identifying gaps which may need addressing. By the end of the session teachers will be more secure in end of year expectations in the above areas. Gaps will be identified which will inform teaching and learning to enable children to reach end of year expectations.

We will draw on the expertise and skills in Camden schools (emphasising peer support) as well as on specialist services and teams.

We will cover issues such as improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, self-evaluation of SEND provision in schools, statutory requirements e.g. EHC Assessment and Plan, Annual Reviews, SEN funding, identification andassessment, planning, support from specialist services, Independent Support (SENDIASS), Interventions ' e.g. literacy, self-evaluation and improvement planning etc.

We will also be responsive to specific requests from SENDCOs.

Essential Training for Every Workplace

This course covers many aspects of a building evacuation including; Means of Escape, The Responsible Person, Fire Warden Responsibilities, Fire Telephones, Health and Safety Legislation and use of portable fire extinguishers.

The training officer will talk in detail about the premises with the trainees while conducting a walk around the building identifying escape routes, fire fighting equipment, suitable muster points and fire brigade access/liaison to deliver the best course relevant to your place of work.

Practical Fire Extinguisher Training

Including as part of the training course is a practical session where attendees will have hands-on experience with different types and sizes of fire extinguishers, their functionality and how they handle. This will then be utilised to extinguish a controlled demonstration fire using a specially designed ‘Fire Rig’.
